It’s no secret that humor is infectious, and laughter is contagious. Laughing is an emotion that binds people together, no matter their age. Not only does it cause healthy physical changes, there are many mental benefits of laughter.

Laughter is known boost the immune system by lowering cortisol levels in the blood. This helps to lower blood pressure, increase oxygen levels, and relaxing muscles, thus counteracting the effects of stress.

Everyone feels better when they laugh. It not only brings you happiness, but it can positively affect those around you. If someone is having a bad day, they often find a way to have some type of relief, whether it’s hanging out with friends or watching a funny TV show.
