How We Keep Our Residents Engaged, Fit and Well
We at Avanti Senior Living strive to keep our residents engaged while maintaining a feeling of independence. As we age, it’s extremely important to maintain an active lifestyle. Why? Because it is good for the mind, the body, and strength. Regular exercise has many physical health and mental health benefits. There are many ways for people to increase their longevity, and ultimately boost their happiness. Avanti Senior Living provides a multitude of activities focused on a holistic approach to overall health and well-being:
Avanti Senior Living has initiated the use of Telehealth to reduce the risk of exposure to our residents and team members. Telehealth offers virtual assessments of a majority of ailments and illnesses without leaving the comfort of our community. Residents, one of the most susceptible groups of contracting COVID-19, can speak to a board-certified doctor in real-time without risk of traveling to a doctor’s office.
Mind • Body • Strength
Avanti’s innovative wellness program is specially designed to keep your mind sharper and your body stronger and healthier. This results in residents feeling stronger and happier following active participation in the program. Residents can engage in daily fitness classes, relax at the Avanti Health Spa, or get professional nail or hair services at the Avanti Salon.
Avanti Senior Living has integrated Touchtown technology as an effective communication system for residents, team members, and visitors. Touchtown helps to empower residents by improving their independence, quality of life, and overall well-being while making it easier for them to actively and virtually engage with family and friends.
Research shows that you can reduce or even help prevent cognitive decline by engaging in activities that challenge your brain. One way to keep your brain active and your mind sharp is to learn something new, like a different language, or even play video games. Video games can actually help improve mood, memory, and overall longevity. Residents use their Avanti tablets to read the news, play brain games or check the Avanti events calendar.
We understand that there are emergency situations for many families that have been impacted by the Coronavirus. We are conducting virtual tours and assessment. We have also implemented comprehensive protocols and procedures to assure we are not impacting the health and safety of current residents and staff during the move-in process. Please contact one of our six communities so we may assist you or your loved one.
